New Delhi: Actor Mohit Baghel, who started his career as a child artist with Colors TV’s show ‘Chote Miyan’, left his heavenly abode on Friday (May 23). The ‘Ready’ actor passed away due to cancer. He was 26. ‘Dream Girl’ director Raaj Shaandilyaa shared the heartbreaking news of Mohit Baghel’s death on social media.


Raaj, who worked with Mohit in ‘Comedy Circus’, penned an emotional post. He wrote, “Mohit , my brother, why such a hurry to go? I had told you that the entire industry had stopped work for you, you get well and then we will start our shooting. You act quit well and that’s why I will wait for you on the sets of my next film.”



Raaj Shaandilyaa, while talking to a news agency, said that Mohit was undergoing treatment for cancer at AIIMS hospital.

"He is gone too soon. He has been undergoing treatment for cancer in AIIMS hospital in Delhi since six months. I spoke to him last on May 15 and that time he was ok, he had started recovering. He stayed with his parents and elder brother in Mathura," Raaj told PTI.

Parineeti Chopra, who worked with Mohit Baghel in ‘Jabariya Jodi’, mourned his death. She called him one of the nicest people to work with.

“One of the nicesttt people to work with! Happy, positive and motivated always. Love you Mohit. RIPBrown heart  #JabariyaJodi,” the ‘Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar’ actress wrote while replying to Raaj Shaandilyaa’s tweet.



Mohit Baghel, who was born in Mathura, started his acting journey with 'Chote Miyan'. Salman Khan noticed his talent and offered him 'Ready', which released in 2011. He played the role of Amar Chaudhary 2 in the comedy drama co-starring Asin and Paresh Rawal.

He had worked in films like 'Jabariya Jodi' and 'Milan Talkies'.

Mohit was supposed to feature in Saif Ali Khan and Rani Mukerji starrer 'Bunty Aur Babli 2'.
