New Delhi: Bollywood actor Freddy Daruwala’s father has tested positive for novel Coronavirus. The actor, who has worked in Salman Khan starrer ‘Race 3’ and Akshay Kumar’s ‘Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Of Duty’, confirmed the news with ABP News. Freddy said that his father is getting treated for COVID-19 at their place in Mumbai’s Jogeshwari. The actor’s bungalow was sealed by BMC after his father tested Coronavirus positive.

Freddy, while talking to ABP News’ correspondent Ravi Jain, said, "My father had flu symptoms like fever and body ache. After a few days, his sense of smell was also affected. We decided to get him tested for Coronavirus, which later turned out to be positive. Very few people pay attention to the loss of smell, which is a symptom of COVID-19.”

When asked about his father’s treatment at home instead of the hospital, Freddy told ABP News, "By the time my father’s test result came, he was asymptotic. Therefore, the doctor advised us to home quarantine him and continue his treatment at our place. He is doing better now."



The actor further said, “We are taking proper care of my father at our home. We have given a separate room to him so that he has access to a separate washroom and bathroom. At the same time, we are following the precautions suggested by the doctor and giving him food accordingly.”

Freddy recently celebrated his birthday and he shared a post on Instagram. He wrote, "Opening doors to abundance of films , music, Positivity,Prosperity, Progress, Fun, Adventures, Wisdom and all things great on my birthday..."

Manish Malhotra, Karan Tacker and other celebs commented on the post and wished him happy birthday.



On the professional front, Freddy Daruwala has also featured in films like ‘Commando 2’ and 'Force 2'. He was last seen in the web series 'Poison'.
