Mumbai: Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been helping people in need for a long time now. He financially supported thousands of daily wage labourers associated with the film industry during the nationwide lockdown that was imposed last year after the outbreak of COVID-19 in India. Now, in the second wave of COVID-19, the ‘Radhe’ actor has again announced to help the 25,000 daily wage labourers of the film industry.

Salman Khan has decided to help daily wage workers of the film industry by transferring Rs 1,500 in the accounts of 25,000 workers.

Confirming the news to ABP News, General Secretary of FWICE Ashok Dubey told, “Last year, we sent Aadhaar cards, PAN cards and bank details of 26,000 needy workers to Salman Khan on behalf of the Federation. Out of these names, Salman Khan has announced to provide financial assistance to a total of 25,000 people which includes light man, spot boy, make-up artist, stuntman, junior artist, etc.”

During the nationwide lockdown last year, Salman Khan had given financial assistance of Rs 3,000 to a total of 23,000 people associated with the film industry. After this, he also provided financial assistance of Rs 1;500 twice. The ‘Wanted’ actor had given financial assistance of Rs 15 crore to the needy people associated with the industry last year.

Ashok Dubey further said, “Salman Khan has the biggest heart in Bollywood. He had also helped the needy workers last year by helping them lead their daily lives. The special thing is that this time we had not even requested Salman Khan to help the workers. He himself has come forward and announced to help the daily labourers.”

Meanwhile, speaking on the professional front, Salman Khan will be next seen starring in ‘Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai’ which is all set to hit the theatres on May 13, 2021. The movie will also release digitally on ZEE5.
