Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur, who will also be seen in Karan Johar’s ‘Kalank’, are expected to create ripples with their chemistry. Gossip mills are now buzzing with the rumours that Aditya was the not the first choice of the makers as the hero opposite Alia.
A report in an entertainment portal suggested that Sidharth Malhotra was supposed to do ‘Sadak 2’ opposite Alia Bhatt.
"Earlier, there were speculations that Sidharth and Alia are doing Mohit Suri's next directorial project, Aashiqui 3, but the film has been put on hold. Instead, Vishesh Films has cast them for Sadak 2," a source told Bollywoodlife.
An insider told the website that it was Sid’s and Alia’s alleged break-up which lead to the actor’s exit from the film. The ‘Aiyaary’ actor had to say goodbye to the film after a fallout.
Both Alia and Sidharth had never officially accepted their relationship but speculations were rife that the two ‘Student of the Year’ co-stars were an item once. The 'Raazi' actress is now dating her 'Brahmastra' co-star Ranbir Kapoor, while Sidharth is currently enjoying his single life.

Talking about ‘Sadak’, the film will hit the silver screens on March 25, 2020.
