New Delhi: SS Rajamouli's much-awaited upcoming movie 'RRR' which was slated to hit the screens on january 7, 2022, has been postoned owing to the rising cases of Omicron in the country. The makers of the movie have been forced to postponed the release due to the closure of theatres across the country. 


The makers of 'RRR' shared a post on Twitter that read, "Keeping the best interests of all the involved parties in mind, we are forced to postpone our film. Our sincere thanks to all the fans and audience for their unconditional love. #RRRPostponed #RRRMovie". 



The makers of ‘RRR’ released a statement that read, “Inspite of our relentless efforts, some situations are beyond our control. As many Indian states are closing theatres, we are left with no choice but to ask you to hold on to your excitement. We promised to bring back The Glory of Indian Cinema, and at the right time, WE WILL.”


Directed by SS Rajamouli, ‘RRR’ features Ram Charan and Jr NTR playing the lead roles. Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn can be witnessed playing pivotal roles in this much-awaited flick. A fictional story about two Indian revolutionaries, this period action drama also stars Samuthirakani, Alison Doody, Ray Stevenson and Shriya Saran, playing supporting roles.


'RRR' tells the story about the incidents that happened in the lives of Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, where Ram Charan plays the role of Sitarama Raju and Jr NTR illustrates the role of Komaram Bheem.
