This throwback video from years ago popped on our timeline when Ram Gopal Varma shared it to prove his point! RGV in series of tweets was commenting on the Superstardom of Rajinikanth when some fans took offence and in response to this he posted this video from the past and said "even Rajinikanth made fun of himself".

RGV, whose 'Veerappan' trailer released today [WATCH HERE] and making waves already, had posted some tweets about Rajinikanth's '2.0' which is to release next year and which is the sequel of 'Enthiran' aka 'Robot' starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.



RGV posted a picture of Rajinikanth with Amy Jackson, the actress featuring in 'Robot' sequel '2.0' and wrote ... "This man by being the biggest star ever completely destroys the notion of looks being important for stardom. He is a bad looker,doesn't have 6 packs ,short with a disproportionate body n knows just 2 nd half dance movements."

Though commenting on Rajni's looks, RGV in his own signature style was actually praising him.

He further wrote, "Nowhere in world a man who looks like this can be SuperStar .I wonder what he did to God that God did this to him. Rajni sir is ultimate proof that no one can ever fucking know why the audience likes what in cinema? The greatest psychiatrists in the world will collapse with the challenging task of explaining the Rajni Phenomenon."

A day later, RGV faced the fury of the Rajni Fans and he tweeted reacting to this.. "Some superdumb fans of Rajnikant dint even realise that I was only complimenting the superstar."

And in his next tweet he posted a video of Rajinikanth shot in 2010 where he was talking about his then released 'Enthiran' aka 'Robot' and where he made fun himself while talking about his film's heroine, the beautiful Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

RGV wrote with it.. "Dumb fans of Rajni who dint realise my tweets r compliment shud realise Rajni himself makes fun of himself".
