New Delhi: Ritiesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'souza starrer Marathi film 'Ved' has been receiving appreciation ever since release. The Marathi film released on December 30, 2022 and also marks Riteish's foray into direction. 'Ved' collected around Rs. 2.25 crores at the box office on Day one of release. Since then, the film's business skyrocketed in collections on its second and third day respectively.

As per film critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh,  the film earned better and bigger numbers on Monday than on Friday( Day 1) of release. Taran Adarsh's tweet read, "#Marathi film #Ved is UNSTOPPABLE… Passes the make-or-break Monday test with flying colours… Day 4 [Mon] is HIGHER than Day 1 [Fri], which is a rarity… EXCELLENT TRENDING… Fri 2.25 cr, Sat 3.25 cr, Sun 4.50 cr, Mon 3.02 cr. Total: ₹ 13.02 cr."

'Ved' collected Rs. 3.23 crores and Rs. 4.50 crores on Saturday and Sunday. As per analysts, the film's business is expected to increase  over the week. Since, there is a lack of competition in theatres, the film is expected to earn more numbers. With 'Pathaan' in the pipeline for release later in January, 'Ved' seems to have no competition at the box office.

Meanwhile, 'Drishyam 2' is still earning great numbers at the box office on its 7th Friday since release. From the numbers trade analysts have been sharing on Twitter, 'Drishyam 2' will probably be on the top spot in the list of highest grossing Hindi language films of 2022.
