‘He’s Still Alive & Fighting, Let’s Pray For Him’ Riteish Deshmukh Confirms Nishikant Kamat Is On Ventilator Support!

Ritesh who has worked with Nishikant Kamat in Marathi movie ‘Lai Bhaari’ shared on Twitter, “Nishikant kamat is on ventilator support. He is still alive & fighting. Let’s pray for him.”

Bollywood actor Riteish Deshmukh took to his Twitter handle to clarify rumours of filmmaker Nishikant Kamat passing away.  Soon after news of Kamat passing away at a Hyderabad hospital surfaced, Ritesh who has worked with Nishikant Kamat in Marathi movie ‘Lai Bhaari’ shared on Twitter, “Nishikant kamat is on ventilator support. He is still alive & fighting. Let’s pray for him.” Filmmaker Milap Zaveri too had posted on Twitter that the filmmaker was no more, but was quick to clarifying the Nishikant Kamat was in a critical condition. "Just spoke to someone who is with Nishikant in the hospital right now. He hasn’t passed away yet. Yes he is v critical and fighting life and death. But he is still alive," Milap Zaveri had posted. Earlier the hospital where Kamat is admitted had shared in a statement, "Mr Nishikant Kamat (50 years, male) was brought to AIG hospitals, Gachibowli, Hyderabad on 31st July with jaundice and abdominal distention. He has been diagnosed with Chronic Liver Disease and other secondary infections. He is in the Intensive Care Unit for continuous monitoring under supervision of a multi-disciplinary team of senior consultants comprising of gastroenterologists, hepatologist, critical care and others. His condition is critical but stable.”
