Ajay Devgn's father Veeru Devgn who was one of the most popular action and stunts direction in Bollywood, passed away this morning in Mumbai and celebrities have started to arrive at actor's residence for the last rites that is reportedly taking place in the evening. 85 yr old Veeru Devgn was admitted in Surya Hospital of Santacruz where he breathed his last on Monday morning. As the friends and families begin to gather at Ajay-Kajol's house, the actor was just spotted by the cameras surrounded by the members who are present here to condole his father's demise.

Ajay's wife Kajol also spotted at their residence.

Film analyst Taran Adarsh took to twitter to make this shocking announcement and he wrote: "Veeru Devgan passed away this morning [27 May 2019]... Father of Ajay Devgn... Veeru ji was an accomplished action director... Also directed #HindustanKiKasam, starring son Ajay with Amitabh Bachchan... Funeral will be held today at 6 pm... Heartfelt condolences to Devgn family."

Veeru Devgn rarely made public appearances in the recent years and this was reportedly his last when he attended son Ajay Devgn's Total Dhamaal screening held in February this year along with wife Veena Devgn

And as this sad news spreads, members of the fraternity begin to condole Veeru Devgn's death. Father of Vicky Kaushal, action director Sham Kaushal also wrote on Twitter: "RIP Veeru Devgan ji. Just came to know about this sad news. As an Action Director always ahead of his times & as human being par excellence. I became a stuntman with his blessings on 8th August, 1980 as he signed my application to become a stuntman & made me part of his team."


Veeru Devgn had choreographed action and stunt sequences for multiple Bollywood films since the 70s which included Roti Kapda Aur Makaan, Mr. Natwarlal,  Inkaar (1977), Kranti (1981), Himmatwala (1983), Shahenshah (1988), Tridev (1989), Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri (1990), Phool Aur Kaante (1991) and many more.
