New Delhi: Raveena recently liked a post on social media that trolled the acting skills of debutants Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor in Zoya Akhtar's 'The Archies.' The actress later apologised through an Instagram post calling the incident "accidental."
Reactions to the Zoya Akhtar film, which released on Netflix last week, have been conflicting. The movie, which marked the acting debuts of Agastya, Khushi, and Suhana Khan, is getting a lot of attention on social media. A few people have trolled the performances, while many have praised the movie's appearance and atmosphere. Raveena liked a message on one of the social media pages that made fun of Agastya and Khushi.
Her social media activity came to everyone's notice, and shortly after, news spread that she had liked a post disparaging the star kids. Raveena has since apologised to the members of The Archies team.
Raveena shared a post which reads as, "Touch buttons and social media. A genuine mistake has been blown out of proportion. The like was made in error and something that I was not even aware of that had been pressed by scrolling. I sincerely apologise for any inconvenience and hurt it may have caused."
'The Archies', directed by Zoya Akhtar, released on Netflix. On December 7, the eagerly awaited movie starring Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and Agastya Nanda was released. Aditi Dot, Mihir Ahuja, Yuvraj Menda, and Vedang Raina are among the other actors in the film.
Speaking about the film, Zoya told PTI, “Fans want nostalgia, a walk down memory lane and familiarity, but the generation today, who have not read the comics, they need something that holds them to the story. We had to take themes that matter to Gen Z and mix it with nostalgia to cook the film together.”
