Mumbai: Veteran actor Randhir Kapoor tested positive for COVID-19 a few days back. The actor has been undergoing treatment at Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital in Andheri, Mumbai for the past several days. He was admitted to the ICU after testing positive for coronavirus.


Well, there is some good news as Randhir Kapoor is now free from the virus and has been shifted from the ICU to the general ward.

A source close to Randhir Kapoor told ABP News that the actor will be discharged from the hospital in the next 2-3 days. The source further revealed that the doctors decided to shift Randhir Kapoor from the ICU to the general ward after witnessing the improvement in his health and added that as a precautionary measure, Randhir Kapoor will have to stay in the hospital for a few more days.


Randhir Kapoor was admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital on April 28 due to his deteriorating health. After being admitted, his COVID-19 report came as positive on April 29 and soon after he was shifted to the ICU keeping his age in mind.


Randhir Kapoor is already suffering from diabetes and other diseases which is why he was being taken special care of by the senior doctors from the time he was admitted to the ICU of the VIP ward.


Randhir Kapoor is the eldest son of the showman, Raj Kapoor. He is also the brother of late actors Rishi Kapoor and Rajiv Kapoor. Both Rishi and Rajiv passed away within a span of one year. While Rishi Kapoor passed away on April 30, 2021, Rajiv Kapoor breathed his last on February 9, 2021.
