New Delhi: Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor, earlier today, tested positive for COVID-19. His mother, Neetu Kapoor, who also tested positive for coronavirus last year in December, confirmed the news on her social media. The actress contracted the virus while shooting for her upcoming film ‘Jug Jugg Jeeyo’ in Chandigarh.


Confirming the news of the ‘Brahmastra’ actor testing positive for COVID-19, Neetu Kapoor wrote while sharing a photo of her son, “Thank you for your concern and your good wishes Ranbir has tested positive for Covid-19. He is on medication and recovering well . He is in self quarantine at home and following all precautions 🙏”

After boyfriend Ranbir tested positive for COVID-19, Alia Bhatt took to her Instagram and shared a story that read, “We grow through what we go through.”




‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ director Sanjay Leela Bhansali also tested positive for COVID-19. A source confirmed the news to ABP News and revealed that the filmmaker was busy shooting for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. The shooting which was going on in Mumbai Film City has been stopped for the time being. Reportedly, the ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’ director has quarantined himself.


Alia Bhatt has also reportedly quarantined herself after her boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor and the director of her upcoming movie Sanjay Leela Bhansali tested positive for COVID-19. A source close to the actress revealed, “Alia is completely safe and nothing has happened to her.”


On the professional front, Alia Bhatt will be next seen starring opposite Ranbir Kapoor in ‘Brahmastra’. She will also be seen starring in S.S. Rajamouli’s ‘RRR’ apart from ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. The ‘Highway’ actress also has ‘Darlings’ in her kitty.
