Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Sanju' has been making waves ever since the trailer was unveiled by the makers. The film directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra will bring facets of Sanjay Dutt’s life on the big screen. The Kapoor lad has received rave reviews from the industry for his brilliant transformation into the ‘Khalnayak; actor for the much-awaited biopic.
Interestingly, Salman Khan, whose recent release ‘Race 3’ has become the second film to cross Rs 100 crore in the first weekend of 2018, had a slightly different opinion on the film.
The ‘Dus Ka Dum 3’ host, during the promotions of the Remo D’Souza directorial had said that he saw Sanju’s trailer and Sanjay Dutt should have played himself in the film in the last few years of his life.
Ranbir Kapoor, in a recent media interaction opened up on the same and said that an actor playing himself in his own biopic would destroy the effect of the character.

"It has never happened that a person played himself in his own biopic. This destroys the effect of a character. I knew that I will be compared to Sanjay Dutt and that is why I have tried my best to do justice to his role,’’ the Tamasha actor was quoted as saying by Times Now.
‘Sanju’, which also stars Paresh Rawal, Manisha Koirala, Dia Mirza, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Jim Sarbh, Vicky Kaushal and Karishma Tanna in pivotal roles, will hit the silver screens on June 29.
