New Delhi: Actor Ram Charan appeared on the popular talk show 'Good Morning America' on the US television network ABC. Ram Charan appeared in the show to promote director S. S. Rajamouli's film ‘RRR’ ahead of the Oscars next month.

Speaking on the show, Ram Charan hinted that Rajamouli will "make his way into global cinema very soon, with the next film." Rajamouli's next movie, incidentally, is an adventure film starring Mahesh Babu. "He is known as the Steven Spielberg of India," the actor said.

And when the host asked what the 'RRR' story was all about, Ram Charan said: "It is about friendship, great brotherhood, camaraderie, the relationship between these two characters."

The 'RRR' track, 'Naatu Naatu', which won a Golden Globe, is in the race for the Best Song trophy at the 95th Oscars. The film is to be re-released across the US on March 3 in the build-up to the Oscars.

Ram attributed the Golden Globes award for the song to Indian cinema and technicians. “It’s tribute to Indian Cinema. This is the first time Golden Globes, Academy Awards and multiple other critics' awards have recognised us. It is not just RRR, it is the Indian Cinema, Indian technicians who are being honoured. Just when we thought, we have achieved everything and it’s time to move on to the next film, west just showed up and showed us that it’s just the beginning,” he said.

Speaking about his personal life, Ram Charan said he was free when they were not planning for a child and ever since they have been expecting, he has had less time for his wife Upasana Konidela. “I have just been packing and unpacking,” he said.

Meanwhile, the actor’s father megastar Chiranjeevi took to Twitter on Thursday to express his feelings about Ram Charan featuring in the famed show.

"A Proud Moment for Telugu / Indian Cinema @AlwaysRamCharan features on the famed #GoodMorningAmerica. Amazing how the Power of One -- passionate idea born in the visionary Rajamouli's brain -- envelopes the world! Onwards & Upwards!" wrote Chiranjeevi.
