New Delhi: After winning the Jury Prize for Best Film at the Hong Kong International Film Festival, finally the trailer of Rajkummar Rao's upcoming Bollywood film 'Newton' is out.

It is a political black-comedy that revolves around a clerk placed on election duty in a conflict-ridden area of Chhattisgarh.

As soon as the trailer was released, the 'trapped' star took to his Twitter account and wrote, "Presenting the official trailer of #Newton"

Rajkummar Rao overwhelmed receiving a handwritten note from Amitabh Bachchan!

The trailer depicts, Newton Kumar, a rookie government clerk's journey on election duty to a Naxal-controlled town in the conflict-ridden jungles of Chhattisgarh.

Faced with the apathy of security forces and the looming fear of guerrilla attacks, the 32-year-old tries his best to conduct free and fair voting, despite the odds stacked against him, with the strong dialogue, "Till the time we don't initiate a change, nothing will change" (Jab tak kuch nahi badloge na dost, Kuch nahi Badalega)

The movie is Amit Masurkar's second film after 'Sulemani Keeda' in 2014.

The film had its world premiere at Berlinale, won the Art Cinema award for the Forum section there and also went to 16th Annual Tribeca Film Festival.

Wasn’t aware Ayushmann suggested me for ‘Bareilly…’, says Rajkummar Rao!

The movie, also starring Anjali Patel, is set to hit the theatres on September 22.
