Amar Singh Chamkila movie: Actor Rajkummar Rao, who is currently gearing up for his upcoming biopic ‘Srikanth’, heaps praises on singer-actor Diljit Dosanjh. The Punjabi singer recently starred in Imtiaz Ali directed biographical film ‘Chamkila’. Rajkummar claimed that no one in the Hindi film industry could have pulled off the role the way Diljit did.
Diljit Dosanjh plays Chamkila and Parineeti Chopra portrayed the role of Amar Singh Chamkila's wife, Amarjot Kaur in the movie.

Speaking with Film Companion, Rajkummar shared that he makes sure to watch at least one film a day. While talking about the latest movie that he watched, he mentioned the Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra starrer Netflix film ‘Chamkila’.
“Chamkila I think I have seen it three times already. I'm in love with that film. Pari (Parineeti Chopra) is also great, but Diljit in some moments. Aatma nikal ke de diya hai usne (He has given his soul into the film).”
The show host Anupama Chopra chimes in and says, “But when you see his interviews, [Diljit says] maine kya kiya main toh set pe chala gaya (I have done nothing; I just went to the sets).
Rajkummar Rao says no one could have played Chamkila better than Diljit
Rajkummar Rao went on to say that whatever Dosanjh claims in those interviews might be true.
“Haan maine dekhe hai unke interviews. [He says] Mujhe toh pata hi nahi kaise hota hai. Which can be true also knowing him. As he was saying in one of his podcasts, kuch 2020 mein hua hai, which has changed him as a person for good. I am glad it happened. Amar Singh Chamkila aur koi kar hi nahi sakta better than him (I have seen his interviews where he says I have no idea how it happens. Which can be true also knowing him. Amar Singh Chamkila was assassinated at the young age of 27 along with his wife, Amarjot Kaur.
