New Delhi: Veteran actor Rajinikanth, who was honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award at the 67th National Film Awards, met President Ram Nath Kovind and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday (October 27). The 'Enthiran' star took to social media to share pictures from his meeting with the two political leaders. He expressed his happiness on receiving congratulatory messages from PM Modi and President Kovind. 


Rajinikanth’s wife Latha also accompanied the South superstar during his meeting with the two political biggies.  "It was a great pleasure to meet the esteemed President and the Prime Minister and receive their messages," the actor wrote in a tweet in Tamil.

Rajinikanth Dedicated His Award To Old Bus Driver Friend


Rajnikanth, who was bestowed with India's Highest Film Honour, dedicated his award to his old bus driver friend, who encouraged him to join the world of showbuz. The actor also remembered late filmmaker K Balachander, who directed his first movie, his brother Sathyanarayana Rao along with his producers, directors, technicians and fans.

On the professional front, the 'Darbar' actor will be next seen in 'Annaatthe'. The much-awaited film is slated to hit the silver screens on November 4, 2021. The action drama also stars  Meena, Khushbu, Nayanthara and Keerthy Suresh in pivotal roles.


The makers of the highly anticipated flick have unveiled the trailer on October 27. The trailer has received an amazing response from the audience upon its release on YouTube. The 2:49 minutes video has received over 2 million views within three hours.
