Mumbai: Radhika Apte, who got married to a British avant-garde composer and violist Benedict Taylor in 2012, did not wear a 'dreamy' bridal wear during her marriage.

So, on the fifth day of Lakme Fashion Week (Winter/Festive), the 30-year-old actress fulfilled her wish of wearing a bridal wear, when she turned muse to Kolkata-based designer Saroj Jalan.

"When I got married, I did not wear anything like this (bridal wear). So today, my wish is fulfilled," the actress told media during a post-show interaction.

The designer showcased her collection, titled 'Gulzar,' inspired from Sufi poet Amir Khusro's poem 'Sakalban.'

The 'Badlapur' actress, who was dressed as a conventional Indian bride, however was nervous walking the runway.

"I always feel nervous walking the ramp because it's only the second time I am doing it. But I felt so pretty today when I had to put the dupatta (veil) on," she said.

On the work front, after working with Thalaiva Rajanikanth in 'Kabali,' Radhika will be seen in debutante director Pia Sukanya's 'Bombairiya.
