New Delhi: After the massive success of 'Pushpa', fans have been eagerly waiting for 'Pushpa 2'. As per reports, makers have been filming quite consistently for the sequel of 'Pushpa' after script changes and old footage related to the sequel was canned. Now, the Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna starrer is being filmed as per the requirements of the reworked script. 


As per an ETimes report, an intense action sequence is being shot in Bengaluru now which will be joined by Malayalam actor Fahadh Faasil soon. Since the pressure to deliver with the sequel has been high, makers have been working quite hard to make the sequel well-worth the wait. 


It has also been reported that a 3-minute action-packed teaser will be unveiled on the occasion of Allu Arjun's birthday. As per the same ETimes report, filmmaker Sukumar has approved the final cut of the teaser and the background score is being added for the same in Chennai by the music composer Devi Sri Prasad.


Rashmika Mandanna will also return in her role in the film and speculation is rife that Sai Pallavi will also be making an important appearance in the sequel. However, no official confirmation has come in from the makers about the same.


More updates about the film, songs etc. will follow soon after the teaser is unveiled on Allu Arjun's birthday. 


Meanwhile, 'Pushpa: The Rise' is a Telugu-language action drama which was written and directed by Sukumar. The film starred Allu Arjun in the titular role alongside Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna while Ajay Ghosh, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Raj Tirandasu played important characters as supporting roles. 


Devi Sai Prasad composed music for the first part and will be doing the same in the second part as well. 


While 'Pushpa' received mixed reviews from critics, audiences loved the film. The film was appreciated for its action, cinematography and soundtrack but criticised for the runtimes, writing and editing. Despite all this, 'Pushpa' performed well at the box office and emerged as the highest-grossing Indian film in 2021, and ranks among the highest-grossing Telugu films of all time.
