The 'Quantico' star is all set to play Mommy this time in a film helmed by 'Margarita with a Straw' fame writer-producer Shonali Bose and which tells a story of Ayesha Chaudhary, the young motivational speaker who was born with immune deficiency disorder.
Ayesha, who died at the age of 18 after inspiring many with her motivational speeches on platforms like TEDx, INK etc, is being portrayed by the popular teenage actress Zaira Wasim who recently fought depression herself.
Joining these two in their onscreen family is Peecee's 'Dil Dhadakne Do' co-star and 'Don' director Farhan Akhtar who will play the father to Zaira.
A source reveals it all to IndianExpress saying - “The movie is based on Ayesha’s life and her book My Little Epiphanies. Priyanka and Farhan will play her parents’ role. Zaira Wasim will be portraying Ayesha’s role in the film. The film goes on floors in August this year.”
At the age of 13, Aisha was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis. But these ailments didn’t deter her spirit. At a very young age, she started speaking on platforms like TEDx, INK etc. With her never say die attitude, she inspired people. Zaira looks like a perfect choice for the film as we've seen her nailing the 'Insiya' character in her recent hit 'Secret Superstar'. With the three fabulous stars coming together for this project has sure raised our curiosity to know more about this untitled film.
