Prithviraj is, incidentally, the first ever historical of YRF as well as Akshay Kumar and the makers announced their ambitious production on the 52th birthday of the superstar, who plays Prithviraj in the film.
As Akshay Kumar celebrates his birthday today (9th September), he took to his Twiter account and shared the film's announcement teaser with his fans. He wrote, "Elated to share about my 1st historical film on my birthday!Humbled to have the opportunity to play a hero I look up to for his valor & values- Samrat Prithviraj Chauhan in one of my biggest films #Prithviraj. 'Prithviraj' is being directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi who directed the biggest television epic Chanakya – based on the life and times of the most influential political strategist of India and the multiple award-winning Pinjar. Prithviraj will release worldwide on Diwali 2020.
