New Delhi: Prateik Babbar made his debut with the 2008 movie ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ which starred Imran Khan and Genelia D’Souza in the lead roles. The actor then appeared in other movies including ‘Dum Maaro Dum’, ‘Aarakshan’, ‘Dhobi Ghat’, ‘Chhichhore’ and many more. Son of Bollywood actors Smita Patil and Raj Babbar, Prateik lost his mother when he was born. The veteran actress passed away due to childbirth complications in the year.


Prateik misses his mother dearly and it is evident from his social media posts and his interviews. The ‘Chhichhore’ actor recently disclosed in one of his social media posts that he has inked his mother Smita Patil’s name in his heart.

Prateik shared a picture where he can be seen lying with his pet and Smita Patil’s name tattooed in his chest is visible. While sharing the post, the ‘Four More Shots Please’ actor wrote, “inked my mother’s name on my heart.. ❤️ smita #4ever ❤️ 1955 - ♾”



Also, on the occasion of Smita Patil’s 34th death anniversary last year, Prateik shared a heartfelt note for his mother on his Instagram with a stunning picture of the actress. He wrote, “34 years ago today my mother left us.. over the years.. iv tried to imagine & create the perfect image of her.. in my mind & heart.. we’ve arrived at a very special place.. a very precious place.. now.. she’s the perfect mother.. the perfect woman.. the perfect role model.. the apple of every little boys eye.. that perfect mother every little boy idolises.. & wants to grow up to be like.. the one that will never leave your side.. & stay with you.. #4ever.. till the end of time.. & every year.. she grows younger.. with me.. she’s 65 years young now.. she will continue to live with me.. within me.. to infinity.. & beyond.. my beautiful.. mama queen.. my reason.. numero uno.. my #superstar #legend rest in #love.. in #power.. in #paradise”.



Meanwhile, speaking on the professional front, Prateik will be next seen starring in ‘Brahmastra’ and ‘Bachchan Pandey’.
