New Delhi: Poonam Pandey and her husband Sam Bombay were arrested on Thursday in Goa in connection with spreading an obscene video clip which was shot at Chapoli dam in Canacona. A local opposition party which goes by the name ‘Goa Forward’ filed a complaint against the model turned actress for allegedly taking part in an obscene act in a property owned by Water Resources Department. The women's wing of the party also filed a complaint against Pandey for shooting 'vulgar' video.

Now, based on a report of TOI, both the actress and her husband Sam Bombay have been granted bail at around 9.15 pm on Thursday by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC). The report further added that the couple cannot move out of Goa without the court’s permission and have to report to the police station for 6 days. Sam Bombay will be kept at police station present the bail bond of Rs 20,000 each.

An official informed the publication that they found out during investigation that Poonam had booked her tickets for Mumbai and was about to leave Goa on Thursday afternoon.

South Goa SP Pankaj Kumar Singh was quoted saying by the publication, “Police investigation has revealed that the couple had sneaked into the dam during the early hours of October 31 and shot the objectionable clip.”

Reportedly, the couple has been arrested under sections 292 (taking obscene photos), 293 (circulating the obscene photos on social media), 294 (for obscene act) and 447(trespass), of the Indian Penal Code, sections 4 and 6 of The Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, and section 67-A of the IT Act.
