Two days after Bombay High Court disposed of a PIL filed by Pune resident to stay release of the Vivek Oberoi starrer PM Narendra Modi, the latest update about the film is that it's release has now been pushed by a week.


The biopic based on the life of PM Narendra Modi, which was to release on April 5, has now been pushed to April 12 which was  its original release date.

While producer Sandeep Ssingh, director Omung Kumar, and Vivek remained unavailable for comment, officials from several city multiplexes confirmed that the Modi biopic has been removed from their programming schedule of Friday, April 5, its original release date, reports Banglore Mirror.

Meanwhile a Special Leave Petition (SLP) was also filed in the Supreme Court today, challenging the Bombay High Court order and seeking a stay on release of film PM Narendra Modi. The Bombay High Court, on April 2, had disposed off the PIL seeking a stay on the film's release.

The film, directed by Omung Kumar, is now likely to hit the screens on April 12, but there is no official confirmation from the team yet.
