New Delhi: On the back of a stellar performance in her maiden web series Kaafir which showcases the significance of freedom in all our lives, actor Dia Mirza decided to get a permanent tattoo that would remind her of her freedom. Mirza, Director Sonam Nair and Director of Photography Pratik Shah took each other's support to get themselves inked.

Sharing pictures on her social media handles, the actor said "Most of us take our freedom for granted. Kaafir reminded me once again to appreciate my freedom. We are all born free and that's the nudge I want this tattoo to be, every time I look at it. Getting it done with Sonam and Pratik was special because of all that we have shared in the last few months."

Dia has gotten 'Azaad' (i.e. Free or Independent) written in beautiful Devnagri script that almost looks like Urdu. Resonating with her persona completely, the tattoo further reinstates the importance of freedom in this world of diplomacy. She has always stood her ground and taken a stand for what is right, unaffected by fear.
