Mumbai: Bollywood actor Vicky Kaushal, known for his acting prowess, recalled his first audition, which took place nine years ago. The ‘Manmarziyaan’ star went down the memory lane and shared a throwback photo from his first audition on social media. Kaushal, last seen in ‘Bhoot: The Haunted Ship’, expressed his gratefulness for his successful journey in the industry.  


Vicky gave his first audition on July 10, 2012 and hence, the particular day holds a special importance in his life.  "Today. 9 years back. Shukr," he wrote while sharing the throwback snap on his Instagram story. 


 The Bollywood heartthrob can be seen holding an audition whiteboard in the picture. He donned a white t-shirt and flaunted his smile while striking a pose or the camera.  




Vicky played his first leading role in Neeraj Ghaywan’s ‘Maasan’, which received critical acclaim from all the corners. He won several hearts after playing the male lead in Meghna Gulzar’s ‘Raazi’ opposite Alia Bhatt. 


Kaushal showcased his talent in Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Sanju’ starring Ranbir Kapoor in a lead role. Ranbir and Vicky’s bromance grabbed several eyeballs when the film hit the silver screens in 2018.  


It was his role in ‘Uri: The Surgical Strike’ which made him a household name. He bagged the National Award for Best Actor for his performance in the film, which was directed by Aditya Dhar. The movie co-starring Yami Gautam emerged as one of the biggest hits of 2019. 


 On the professional front, Vicky has a couple of exciting projects in his kitty. He will entertain the audience with films like ‘Sardar Udham Singh’, ‘The Immortal Ashwatthama’, ‘Sam Bahadur’ and ‘Mr Lele’. 


Vicky’s rumoured relationship with Katrina Kaif has also become the talk of the town. Although the two alleged lovebirds have remained tight-lipped about their relationship, gossip mills suggest that they are very much in love.
