New Delhi: Model turned Bollywood actress Payal Rohatgi, who was remanded to judicial custody till December 24 by a AJCM court on the charges of posting objectionable content against the Nehru-Gandhi family on social media, was granted bail by a local court in Rajasthan’s Bundi on Tuesday (December 17). The ‘Bigg Boss 2’ contestant was released with two sureties of Rs 25,000 each, according to news agency ANI.


The ‘Corporate’ actress, after getting released from the jail, interacted with the media persons and said that she won’t stop making videos but will remain careful and try to not make a mistake again.

Payal even chanted ‘Jai Shri Ram’, ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ and ‘Vande Matram’ after coming out of jail. The actress took to her Twitter to thank her well-wishers for their support.

“Ram Ram ji ???? सभी भारतीयों का धन्यवाद मुझे समर्थन करने का।अब मैं ओर भी ज़्यादा देश के लिए बोलूँगी क्यूँकि मुझे मेरा देश भारत मेरी जान से ज़्यादा प्यारा है। #BharatMatakiJai #PayalRohatgi,” Payal tweeted.

She even retweeted several tweets on the micro-blogging site.


Talking about her time in the prison, Payal said that it was her first experience and she hoped it turns out to be her last. She described the food as good for those who love spicy food.

"It was very cold in jail. But inmates were good. They shared their stories with me," IANS quoted the actress as saying.

For the uninitiated, Congress worker Charmesh Sharma had lodged a complaint against the reality TV star for posting ''an objectionable video on Nehru and family on social media. A case under section 67A of the IT Act and section 504, 505(2) of the IPC was registered against Payal Rohatgi.
