New Delhi: 'Pathaan', directed by Siddharth Anand, slowed a bit on its first Monday but still managed to bring in over Rs 25 crore nett in Hindi. The movie has, however, managed to break the record for the fastest entry into the Rs 300 crore club owing to the extraordinary run it has seen so far.

The Shah Rukh Khan starrer earned over Rs 300 crore in 7 days at the domestic box office. The action-thriller, which is part of the YRF Spy Universe, has also surpassed Salman Khan's Tiger Zinda Hai, which reached the milestone in 16 days, and 'War', starring Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff, which earned the amount in 19 days.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh revealed the movie's box office success on Twitter along with a list of the films that are following the big hit.

"#Pathaan stands tall on the crucial Mon [Day 6]… National chains SUPER-STRONG, mass circuits ROCKING… Will be #SRK’s first film to hit ₹ 300 cr on Tue [Day 7]… Wed 55 cr, Thu 68 cr, Fri 38 cr, Sat 51.50 cr, Sun 58.50 cr, Mon 25.50 cr. Total: ₹ 296.50 cr. #Hindi. #India biz," the tweet read.

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan interacted with media on Monday at the 'Pathaan' event in Mumbai and said,“We are all extremely grateful to the audience and media for supporting the film so much in spite of the fact that there might have been things that would have curtailed the happy release of the film. There were times when we had to call people and ask them to please let us release our film peacefully. Film watching and filmmaking is an experience of love and I want to thank all the people who helped us release this film for the people.”

'Pathaan' stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in lead roles along with Dimple Kapadia, Ashutosh Rana and others.
