New Delhi: An old video of Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh falling into a dhol while dancing on stage during an award function is doing the rounds on the internet. The incident, which occurred around 2020, shows Ranveer energetically performing on stage to the song 'Nagada Sang Dhol' from his movie 'Goliyon Ki Rasleela: Ram-Leela.'

As part of his high-energy routine, he started spinning around the stage and accidentally fell into one of the dhols kept on the side. His co-actors Rajkummar Rao and Aparshakti Khurrana, who were also present on the stage, reacted in shock but quickly came to his aid, helping him out of the dhol. While many found the incident amusing and praised Ranveer's fun-loving nature, some speculated that it might have been a planned act to entertain the audience.

Ranveer Singh is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani,' directed by Karan Johar. The movie's latest song, 'Dhindhora Baje Re,' was released on Monday and has garnered attention for its vibrant Durga Puja celebration setting. In the song, Ranveer Singh can be seen donning a striking red anarkali and churidaar, dancing gracefully in front of a Durga Puja idol. The track, sung by Darshan Raval and Bhoomi Trivedi with lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya, features background dancers also dressed in red and is choreographed by the renowned Vaibhavi Merchant.

Jaya Bachchan's stern expressions in the song have caught the attention of social media users. As the characters played by Ranveer and Alia Bhatt dance with gusto, they receive peculiar looks from their respective family members. While Rani's family eventually comes around to the performance, Jaya Bachchan, portraying Rocky's grandmother, storms out in rage, adding drama and humor to the sequence. The amusing portrayal of Jaya's character sparked a flurry of funny reactions and memes on Twitter.

'Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani' holds special significance as it marks Karan Johar's seventh directorial venture and is being released in his 25th year as a filmmaker. The film, co-produced by Karan's Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios, boasts an ensemble cast, including the legendary Dharmendra, Churni Ganguly, Shabana Azmi, and others.

The film is slated to be released on July 28.
