New Delhi: Shahid Kapoor and actor Vijay Sethupathi are set to co-star in the eagerly anticipated web series 'Farzi' from Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK. The trailer for the Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi crime drama Farzi was released on Friday.

Vijay recently explained why working with Shahid, who is playing the series' major role, did not make him feel insecure during a speech at an event.

Since Shahid is a parallel lead in the series, Vijay Sethupathi was questioned about whether he felt insecure about that. According to Indian Express, the actor said, “I don’t look at it that way. I’ve worked in so many films. Every film is a multi-starrer. There is not only one star in any film. Here also I respect Amol (Palekar) so much, then Bhuvan (Arora). It’s not only Shahid. No one comes here to compete with one another. We all co-operate and work together. There is no winning. I don’t believe in winning, I enjoy the game. There is a lot of sharing and learning. I am not insecure. I did a negative role in my third film. The director asked me if I was sure about it, but I did it. I only want to work with super talented actors from whom I can learn. You can’t learn everything and come. Life is like catch and throw. That is the only way to learn.”

The 'Super Deluxe' actor also went on to praise his co-star and said,"It has been an absolute pleasure working with the dynamic duo Raj and DK and alongside Shahid Kapoor, who is both a talented actor and a wonderful person. It was incredible to work with such a brilliant team and create something as mind blowing as Farzi."

The eight-episode crime thriller centers on a cunning street artist who wants to game the system that rewards the wealthy. Sunny, a part-time con man, is dragged into the dark while concocting the ideal scam, as shown in the 'Farzi' trailer. However, a fierce and outspoken task force officer has made it his goal to eliminate the threat he poses to the country.

The crime thriller is written and directed by Raj and DK, and serves as Shahid Kapoor and Vijay Sethupathi's digital debut.
