NEW DELHI: After an attack on director Sanjay Leela Bhansali during the shooting of film 'Padmavati', the makers are going an extra mile to assert that Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji will not be seen in the same frame. Bollywood beauty Deepika Padukone is portraying the role of Padmavati while the character of Alauddin Khilji will be essayed by Ranveer Singh.

Well, this might upset Ranveer-Deepika fans who are eagerly waiting to see their chemistry on-screen. The sizzling pair set the screen on fire in previous creations of Bhansali- Baajirao Mastani and Ram-Leela.

Ranveer-Deepika's jodi has never disappointed fans.

Team Padmavati took to Twitter to issue clarification that there was never any scene or a dream sequence between Rani Padmavati and Alauddin Khilji. In a series of tweets, the team reiterated, Sanjay Leela Bhansali respects Rani Padmavati and will not do anything that may hurt Rajput sentiments. They also requested fan clubs to spread the word with a new hashtag #NoSceneBetweenRaniPadmavatiAndAlauddinKhilji.

A self proclaimed Rajput-honour vigilantes Karni Sena assaulted Sanjay Leela Bhansali at Jaigarh Fort near Jaipur while he was shooting for the magnum-opus. The outfit claimed that makers are portraying Rani Padmavati in a bad light and this won't be tolerated. The group said that they went to the location for negotiation but the crew of the film misbehaved with them. The incident was condemned by the whole film fraternity and there was demand for creative freedom for the artistes. Bhansali also faced opposition for his last flick-Baajirao Mastani.
