New Delhi: Bollywood actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui has remained in limelight after his niece accused his brother Minazuddin Siddiqui of sexually harassing her. The girl, who is now married, filed a complaint at Jamia police station in Delhi against her uncle. She alleged that he started molesting her when she was only nine years old. The victim, while talking to ABP News, said that she received no support from the ‘Manto’ actor.
When a leading daily contacted Nawazuddin for his comment on the entire controversy, he chose to brush off the question. “Thank you for your concern, but on this, no comment,” the ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ actor told Hindustan Times.
Nawazuddin’s niece told the daily that after she filed the police complaint, the ‘Badlapur’ actor called her ‘for the first time in the last five years’. She said that he didn’t speak to her in all these years and alleged that the entire family has boycotted her after her wedding.

“Nawaz bade papa called on Tuesday night and said ‘you’re like my daughter, you know how much I love you. Unhone yeh bhi bola ki unko yeh sab pata nahi tha’ and that he’s there for any help I need. He has never spoken to me in all these years. The entire family had boycotted me after I got married, and they’ve been filing one case after another and threatening my in-laws in Budhana,” she told HT.
Nawazuddin’s troubled personal life has also become the talk of the town. His wife Aaliya Siddiqui has sent a legal notice to the actor, demanding divorce and maintenance from him.
Aaliya, while exclusively talking to ABP News, had accused her husband of neglecting their kids and insulting her several times.
“We were facing problems in our married life since the time we got hitched. Neither Nawazuddin nor his brothers know how to respect women. He used to only point out my mistakes whenever we talked. He even insulted me several times in front of others. He said, ‘When you don’t know how to speak, then you should remain quiet’. He never gave me the respect which a wife deserves in a relationship. I lost all my self-respect during our relationship,” she said.
