New Delhi: The 95th Academy Awards, which will take place on March 12, will feature a performance of the 'RRR' song 'Naatu Naatu' (March 13 in India). The Academy has revealed that singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava will make their Oscar debut on stage while presenting the Oscar-nominated song. Nevertheless, it is unknown whether Ram Charan or Jr. NTR would also be on stage with them.

'Naatu Naatu', with its catchy tune and accompanying dance by actors Ram Charan and N.T. Rama Rao Jr., is one of the most memorable scenes from SS Rajamouli's action epic RRR. It features music by Keeravaani and lyrics by Chandrabose. The song will be performed at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles by singers Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava.

In addition to English, the song was also released in Hindi under the names Naacho Naacho, Naattu Koothu, Halli Naatu, and Karinthol in Kannada and Malayalam. A few months prior to the beginning of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, it was filmed at the Mariinskyi Palace (Ukraine Presidential Palace) in Kyiv. Naatu Naatu has amassed over 122 million views on YouTube and has become a worldwide phenomenon.

Naatu Naatu has already garnered a significant number of honours. The song took home the Best Original Song Golden Globe in January. At the 28th Critics' Choice Awards, it once again won Best Song and Best Foreign Language Film.

The song is up against songs like Raise Me Up from Black Panther, This Is A Life from Everything Everywhere All at Once, and Applause from Tell It Like a Woman in the category for best original song. On Oscar night, Rihanna will perform Raise Me Up and This Is a Life will be performed by David Byrne, Stephanie Hsu, and Son Lux. This year, Jimmy Kimmel will be the host of the awards show.

'RRR' is a magnum opus drama set in the pre Independence era. Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan in lead roles as Komaram Bheem and Ram. The film also stars Alia Bhatt, Ajay Devgn and Shriya Saran in pivotal roles.
