New Delhi: John Abraham and Emraan Hashmi starrer 'Mumbai Saga' released in theatres on March 19, 2021. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the movie is entertaining the audience as the film's opening day earnings are proof of it. 'Mumbai Saga' has the highest non-holiday box-office collection amongst the movies which has been released after lockdown so far.


Keeping in mind the current ongoing coronavirus pandemic, many theatres have been opened with only 50% seating capacity. ‘Mumbai Saga’ has done a business of Rs 2.82 crore on the opening day. And according to the speculations, it is being expected that the film will do good business in the coming days.

However, due to the night curfew imposed in some of the states in the country, the film’s business has been greatly affected. According to the information received, the movie’s business has been highly impacted due to the restrictions in Maharashtra. But, in places where are no restrictions, a large number of crowds was witnessed.


Directed by Sanjay Gupta and produced by T-Series, this action-crime film also stars Suniel Shetty, Kajal Aggarwal, Rohit Roy, Anjana Sukhani, Mahesh Manjrekar, Prateik Babbar, Samir Soni, Amole Gupte and Gulshan Grover. ‘Mumbai Saga’ has been set in the 80s and 90s which shows the changing faces of the people of Mumbai when mills were closed to make malls and high-rise buildings.
