Director Paul W.S. Anderson has plenty of experience in bringing video games to the big screens. Keeping in mind the success of Resident Evil movie franchise, Anderson has once again come up with a action thriller package to woo the fans.
Directed by Paul W.S. Anderson, the movie Monster Hunter is based on a very popular video game sharing the same name. Featuring Milla Jovovich, the movie asks her to hunt down monsters with a team of soldiers after being transported to an alternate universe. The film also features Thai martial artist Tony Jaa from Ong Bak fame.

From the trailer, it seems that the movie is likely to force you to recall stints from Stranger Things. The movie has also borrowed some some ideas from Mad Max: Fury Road.

The film was originally due out earlier this year but was delayed until April 2021 owing to the Coronavirus crisis. While many other films have been pushed back, Monster Hunter has been brought forward to everybody's surprise. The movie is now expected to get released in December this year, but may be get delayed owing to the COVID-19 crisis.
