Neha Dhupia, while talking to a leading daily, has revealed why she kept her pregnancy a secret for so many months. The ‘Tumhari Sulu’ actress said that she feared people wouldn’t offer work her and her career would suffer if she revealed her pregnancy earlier. Dhupia was shooting for her upcoming film ‘Heliocopter Eela’ and her TV show ‘No Filter Neha’, back then.
“I was worried people would stop offering work. It was a good thing my bump wasn’t showing till the sixth month because appearances matter here, and one might be assumed to be unfit for a job. Fortunately, my energy levels are high,” Neha told Mid-Day.
The actress, who is radiating mummy glow these days, said that she won’t be taking a maternity leave and will continue to work after delivering her baby.
"I don't want a maternity break. It's not that I am against women who decide to take those months off. It's my choice; it doesn't amount to saying that those who decide to take time off should be looked down upon,’’ the actress told the daily.
