An year after Hollywood, #MeToo wave has finally hit India and women from different industries are now sharing their sexual harassment stories. In Bollywood, actress Tanushree Dutta started the movement accusing veteran actor Nana Patekar of harassing her on the sets of 2008 film 'Horn Ok Please'. Later, many known names like Alok Nath, Sajid Khan, Vikas Bahl among others too were accused by women for sexual misconduct. Recently, an assistant director Nameeta Prakash shared her story and accused Vicky Kaushal's father and action director Sham Kaushal of misconduct. And now, Sham Kaushal has issued an apology on the same.

Sham Kaushal took to his Twitter account and issued an apology. He wrote, "Ever since I have been working in this industry, I have tried my best to be a good human being, professionally and personally, never wishing to hurt or disrespect anyone. I have read the allegations made against me by some crew members. If I have unintentionally caused any hurt or anguish, I unconditionally apologise to the ladies, to the production houses and each and every member of the film fraternity."

However, Vicky Kaushal is yet to react on the same.

Coming back to Nameeta Prakash's #MeToo story, she revealed that the incident took place during the outdoor shooting of a film where Sham Kaushal invited her to his room to drink vodka. But she refused and he started insisting. Later, he picked up his phone and showed her an adult MMS clip.

It is indeed heartening to see women coming out & sharing their stories courageously.
