Popularly known as 'Sanskaari Babuji', veteran TV and Film actor Alok Nath is accused of rape by the writer-producer of 90s popular show 'Tara' and while Vinta Nanda's allegations have left the nation shocked, the actor himself has denied them in an exclusive interview with ABP News. Revealing her #MeToo story yesterday through her Facebook post, Vinta had also mentioned that Alok's lead 'Tara' co-actress Navneet Nishan had also suffered harassment at hands of Alok and she had even slapped him once. Navneen had now come out and not only did she confirm Alok harassed her for 4 long years but also that she did slap him, confirming the claims made by Vinta.

Talking about Navneet and Alok's bit, Vinta had written without naming either of them, "My lead female actor was being harassed by him. He would mess with her on the sets and everyone would be silent. When she complained to us, we decided to let him go. We needed one last shot between them and soon after it had been taken we had planned to let him know that we didn’t want to work with him any longer. He had become aware of our plan and on that day, he came drunk on our sets. He continued to drink till the time he was called for the shot. When the moment came and the camera rolled, he felt up our female lead and very viciously. My lead actress slapped him".

Reacting to same, the 'Raja Hindustani' actress told Pinkvilla today- "I fought my battle there and then."

She further said - "I dealt with the four-year harassment by slapping the man in question, and it is done and dusted. l suffered the loss of the show and was further shamed by the man through media and I endured that."

In regard with Vinta's rape allegations, CINTAA (Cine & TV Artists Association) gets into action and plans to send show-cause notice to Alok Nath. CINTAA general secretary Sushant Singh extended his support to Nanda. "Dear @vintananda I am so so sorry. As @CintaaOfficial a show-cause notice will be sent to @aloknath first thing in the morning, why he shouldn't be expelled. Unfortunately we've to follow the due process. I urge you to file a complaint against this vile creature, we extend you full support," he wrote.
