New Delhi: Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, which released on January 25, is roaring at the box office. After starting on a positive note, the period drama picked up pace on Republic Day. The much-awaited film collected Rs 8.75 crore on its opening day and witnessed a massive rise in its earnings on second day. The film has managed to win the hearts of the audience and it is reflecting in the film’s box office.

‘Manikarnika’ crossed the Rs 40 crore mark in its first weekend and the film has now set its eyes on entering the Rs 50 crore club.  The film, which was released across 3000 screens in India, collected Rs 15.70 crore on its third day.

Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared Manikarnika’s box office collection on Twitter. He mentioned that the film has performed well in Delhi-NCR, UP, Punjab and Rajasthan markets.

'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi' is also making waves in international markets like North America and the United Kingdom.


Talking about ‘Manikarnika’, the film is based on the life of Rani Laxmi Bai, who defied the British East India Company rule during the rebellion of 1857.

The film also stars Ankita Lokhande, Atul Kulkarni, Suresh Oberoi, Jisshu Sengupta and Danny Denzongappa in pivotal  roles.
