New Delhi: The producer of Kangana Ranaut starrer ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, Kamal Jain, has been admitted to Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital and he won’t be able to take part in the film’s promotions. Kamal is producing the period drama along with Zee Studious and Nishant Pitti under his home banner Kairos Kontent Studios. Jain took to Twitter to inform he was hospitalized ahead of the film’s release next week.

"Dear friends, this certainly is not the best time to be in the hospital. Hope to get well soon and enjoy the success of our collective dream & hard work. My best wishes to all,’’ Jain wrote on the micro-blogging site.

A report in an entertainment portal suggested that Kamal Jain was hospitalized after he suffered a paralytic stroke. The producer is critical and battling for his life on the ventilator, the report in SpotboyE said.

However, when ABP News reporter Ravi Jain contacted an official from Kairos Kontent Studios, he dismissed the reports of Kamal suffering a paralytic stroke.

''Kamal Jain contacted an infection in his throat, which spread to his chest and lungs. There is no need to worry about his health,''  the source told ABP News.

Citing the doctors, the source further said, ''Jain will be discharged from the hospital in three to four days.''
