‘Pavitra Rishta’ lead actress & Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande has been on a break from acting ever since the much-loved show went off-air in 2014. The actress has been trying hard to make her Bollywood debut since a long time she has finally got a big break in Bollywood with Kangana Ranaut's ambitious project 'Manikarna: The Queen of Jhansi'. According to latest reports, 'Bajirao Mastani' actor Vaibhav Tatwawaadi will romance the TV actress in the film.

Reportedly, Marathi-actor Vaibhav Tatwawaadi, who essayed the role of Ranveer Singh's on-screen brother Chimaji Appa in Bajirao Mastani, will be seen playing a pivotal character in the historical biopic 'Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi'.

Talking about his role to a leading daily, he said, “I am very excited to be a part of such a huge project. My role has action, romance and drama.”

Ankita is playing the role of Jhalkaribai' in the film whereas Vaibhav has been signed on to play the role of Puran Singh, the main soldier in Rani Laxmibai’s army.

Vaibhav played the role of Ranveer's Singh's onscreen brother in 'Bajirao Mastani'.

Speaking about being paired opposite Ankita in the film, he further told Indian Express that, "In fact, Ankita and mine is the only love story in the movie. My fans will get to see me doing horse riding, sword fighting and a lot of action sequence in the movie.”

Ankita has already started preparing for her role in the film. And to get her character right, she is getting trained in sword-fighting with famous Hollywood action director Nick Powell.

Vaibhav began his journey five years ago and has carved a niche for himself in Marathi and Hindi cinema. He was last seen in the critically and commercially acclaimed film 'Lipstick Under My Burkha'.
