The TV actress, who is away from TV ever since she gave birth to daughter Nirvi in December 2016, will be making her Bollywood debut with 'Uri' in which she is playing a pivotal character in the film.
Speaking about her role, a source informed an entertainment portal that, "Manasi will be playing a resolute army officer's wife - she is seen as Mohit Raina's wife and Vicky Kaushal's sister in the film. She has a very bohemian look with lots of accessories and indo western clothes."

Manasi too confirmed being a part of 'Uri' and told the portal that, "This role was of a strong army wife and that's something we don't get to know about often. What happens to the wives of the army officers when they're are fighting for the country."

She further told India Forums that, "I have powerful scenes and director Aditya Dhar has written the story beautifully. Also getting to share screen space with Vicky Kaushal, Mohit Raina and Swaroop Sampat was too exciting for me as an actor."
Few days ago, she even shared the great news on her Instagram account. Sharing a picture with the film's cast including Mohit & Vicky, Manasi posted a picture with the caption, "Absolutely thrilled to be sharing screen space with these special people .. @vickykaushal09 is the find of the decade with one powerhouse performance after the other, #swaroopsampatji is class and elegance personified @merainna is a talented hottie and baby Suhaana can give a veteran a run for their money ❤️❤️ @vickysidana thanks so much ???????????? #comingsoon #uri #hindifilm"
