Valentine's week has begun with a bang at the box office. Junaid Khan and Khushi Kapoor's 'Loveyapa' is clashing with Himesh Reshammiya's 'Badass Ravi Kumar' at the box office. While 'Loveyapa' has received a positive response from audiences on its opening day, 'Badass Ravi Kumar' has been receiving a polarising response from the audience. On one hand, fans have appreciated the Himesh Reshammiya starrer as an ode to the 80s' masala films while others have blatantly called the film 'material for memes', besides calling it a film with 'no logic'.

Loveyapa vs Badass Ravikumar box office

As per Sacnilk.com, 'Loveyapa' has collected around Rs. 1.15 cr net in India on its opening day.  While on Friday morning, 'Loveyapa' was recording Rs. 44 lakh from its morning shows, the 'Badass Ravikumar' earned Rs. 90 lakhs from morning shows alone. Himesh's film has done so well despite relying on a multi-city promotion tour.

Meanwhile, 'Badass Ravikumar' has collected Rs. 2.75 cr on its opening day. The film has an overall 14.55% Hindi occupancy on Friday, reported Sacnilk.com

'Loveyapa' did not have the best start at the ticket window. As per trade analyst Atul Mohan, "The film has even seen several shows getting cancelled in several parts of the country. The collections are low."

Thandel box office

In another news, 'Thandel' is doing well. The Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi starrer has made Rs. 4 cr-plus from the morning shows.

After an impressive advance bookings figure, 'Thandel' could end up becoming Chay and Sai Pallabi's biggest opener together, better than their last outing together 'Love Story'.

As per Andhra Box Office, 'Thandel' collected Rs. 6.36 cr at the box office. These numbers exclude the evening shows beginning from 7:00 PM. In Andhra Pradesh ad Telagana alone, the film has collected Rs. 5.49 cr. As per the same publication, Thandel's worldwide opening will be around Rs. 16 cr.
