New Delhi: Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday starrer 'Liger' has been making waves ever since the project was announced. Ananya, who made her Bollywood debut with 'Student Of The Year 2' opposite Tiger Shroff, will be seen romancing the South star in the much-awaited action drama. We have some exciting news for all the movie buffs, who are eagerly waiting for an update about the film. The makers have promised to end 2021 with a bang by sharing the first glimpse of 'Liger'. Yes, you read that right.

Karan Johar, who is one of the co-producers of 'Liger', took to social media to reveal the first look of the film will be unveiled on December 31. In the video posted on his official Instagram and Koo handle, the voice-over hinted at the release date of the first glimpse of 'Liger'.

"It’s almost time to unleash the beast to the nation! Starting your new year with a bang and a few punches!! #LigerFirstGlimpse on DEC 31st @ 10:03AM," KJo wrote.

Last month, Ananya and Vijay jetted off to the US to commence shoot for a new schedule. They filmed important sequences with boxing legend Mike Tyson. Panday shared a picture with Tyson from the sets along with the caption, "We’re clearly getting along really well."

'Liger' is slated to hit the silver screens on August 25, 2022. The highly anticipated flick will mark the Bollywood debut of Mike Tyson. Ananya will also foray into the South film industry with the film, which is being directed by Puri Jagannadh.

Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy will be seen essaying important roles in 'Liger', which will release in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Tamil.
