New Delhi: Legendary Bollywood singer Lata Mangeshkar was rushed to the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on early Monday morning due to viral chest infection. The ‘Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon’ singer, who turned 90 in September, is currently admitted in ICU.  She is under the constant supervision of the doctors at the hospital. A family member of the veteran singer, while talking to ABP News’ correspondent Ravi Jain, revealed that her health is improving.

Lata Mangeshkar’s niece Rachana told ABP News that the singer’s health is stable and better now. When asked about her discharge from the hospital, Rachana said that the family is waiting for Lata to recover completely and they are not thinking about the same at the moment.

Meanwhile, sources have informed ABP News that Lata Mangeshkar may take more time to recover. She will have to stay in the hospital for few more days so as to recover fully.

Several Bollywood celebs including Hema Malini and Shabana Azmi have prayed for Lata’s speedy recovery on Twitter.

"Prayers for @mangeshkarlata who is hospitalised and is reported to be in a critical condition. God give her the strength to come out of this crisis and continue to be in our midst. The nation prays for Bharat Ratna Lata ji, the nightingale of India," Hema wrote on the micro-blogging site.


Shabana tweeted, ''@mangeshkarlata Aadab aur hazaron duayein ke aap fauran achchi hokar sahi salamat ghar aa jayein .''
