NEW DELHI: In what may spark a fresh controversy, Samajwadi Party leader Abu Azmi mocked Bollywood ace filmmaker Karan Johar of resorting to the 'drama' of surrogacy. "You are so old, if you are suffering from any ailment and can't marry, then go an adopt. What is this drama of surrogacy?" said SP leader.


"Couldn't he get a girl to marry? And if not, then there are so many poor people. He could have adopted two or four. It looks as if he is mocking the poor," Azmi told the media .

 


Mocking Johar's identity, Azmi said it looked as if the God had not made his better half. "Pairs are made by the God, but no one was made for him," said Abu Azmi mocking 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil director.

Karan Johar recently became a single parent to twins - a boy and a girl whom he named Roohi and Yash after his parents. As soon as he announced his proud moment, blessings and congratulations started pouring in from whole of tinsel town. Karan took to Twitter to share the news, he wrote: "I am ecstatic to share with you all the two most wonderful additions to my life, my children and lifelines; Roohi and Yash. I feel enormously blessed to be a parent to these pieces of my heart who were welcomed into this world with the help of the marvels of medical science."



After Shah Rukh Khan and Tusshar Kapoor, Karan Johar is the third celebrity who opted surrogacy.
