New Delhi: One of the most spectacular pairings in Bollywood, Tabu and Vishal Bhardwaj, are back with another film, 'Khufiya'. She also appeared in 'Kuttey', the directorial debut of Vishal Bhardwaj's son Aasman, earlier this year. Netflix India will release Tabu starrer newest spy thriller on October 5.
On Thursday, Netflix India posted a promotional video to Instagram that deftly revealed when the spy thriller would be released. “Kuch raaz, raaz hi rahe to behtar hai. But not this one,” Netflix India's caption read.
The opening scene of the clip features Tabu's spy character from the movie asking that her colleague zoom into CCTV footage from what appears to be a hidden camera. A person on the screen uses a fax machine to send a secret message. The fax paper shows the movie's release date, October 5, as we zoom in.

The spy thriller neo-noir 'Khufiya' is based on Amar Bhushan's spy book 'Escape to Nowhere'. Along with Tabu, Ashish Vidyarthi, Wamiqa Gabbi, and Ali Fazal appear in it. Tabu last was last seen in Ajay Devgn directed action drama 'Bholaa'. It is a remake of the 2019 Tamil film Kaithi and stars Devgn in the titular role.
The first time Tabu and Vishal worked together on screen was in the 2003 mafia movie 'Maqbool', in which Tabu played alongside Irrfan Khan. They worked together once more on the 2014 criminal drama 'Haider', which starred Shahid Kapoor as the titular character. Tabu starred as Shahid's mother. Both of these films were adaptations of two of William Shakespeare's well-known plays, 'Macbeth' and 'Hamlet', respectively.
