New Delhi: Katrina Kaif has opened up about her decades-long journey in the film industry and talked about one of the films she was supposed to be part of.  In an interview with Mid Day, Katrina said that she was originally cast as the fourth female in 'Bachna Ae Haseeno', but her part was deleted from the final script.

During the interview, Katrina Kaif said, “I was the fourth girl; that character got cut.” 


In the same interview, Katrina said she wanted to play Anushka Sharma's character in Anand L. Rai's 'Zero', starring Shah Rukh Khan. Katrina eventually played a superstar named Babita. The Shah Rukh Khan starrer flopped at the box office, although Katrina's performance was praised.


About Bachna Ae Haseeno


Meanwhile, Siddharth Anand directed and produced 'Bachna Ae Haseeno'. The film, which released in 2008, was a commercial hit. Ranbir Kapoor acted in 'Bachna Ae Haseeno', alongside three female actors: Minisha Lamba, Bipasha Basu, and Deepika Padukone. The film follows Ranbir Kapoor's character, a young playboy who encounters three young women at different stages of his life, forcing him to evolve as a person.


For the unaware, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone began dating while filming 'Bachna Ae Haseeno'. The pair broke up in 2009. Katrina and Ranbir met while filming the romantic comedy 'Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani'. The two split ways in 2016.


On the work front, Katrina was last seen in Sriram Raghavan's 'Merry Christmas', alongside Vijay Sethupathi. The mystery thriller was released on January 12 and received outstanding reviews. She will also star in an all-female buddy film 'Jee Le Zaraa', directed by Farhan Akhtar, starring Alia Bhatt and Priyanka Chopra.
