New Delhi: Late Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor made a rocking debut in Bollywood with Shashank Khaitan’s ‘Dhadak’. The film did well at the box office and Janhvi’s chemistry with co-star Ishaan Khatter was appreciated by the audience and critics. The star kid is now busy shooting for Gunjan Saxena’s biopic in Lucknow. For the uninitiated, Gunjan Saxena is India’s first female combat pilot who successfully evacuated injured soldiers during the Kargil war. Interestingly, the film is being produced by Karan Johar under his home banner Dharma Productions.

As per the latest buzz, the makers of the film have roped in Angad Bedi to play an important role in the biopic which has been reportedly titled ‘KargilGirl. The ‘Pink’ actor will play the role of Anshuman Saxena, Gunjan’s brother in the film.

A report in a leading daily has suggested that Janhvi Kapoor and Angad Bedi were spotted shooting on the streets of Lucknow’s Nirala Nagar over the weekend. The two actors danced on Anil Kapoor’s hit song ‘One Two Ka Four’ from ‘Ram Lakhan’, the report added.

‘’They recreated Anil’s iconic steps during the late-night shoot. Angad plays an army officer, like Gunjan’s real-life brother Anshuman, while Pankaj Tripathi plays their father,” a source told Mumbai Mirror.

The current shooting schedule of the film will wrap up on March 2, as per the report in the daily. The cast and crew will return back to Mumbai after wrapping up the shoot. They will head back to Lucknow in April for the second schedule.

On the professional front, Janhvi Kapoor has another Dharma Productions film ‘Takht’ in her kitty. The film also stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ranveer Singh, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh, Bhumi Pednekar, Vicky Kaushal and Anil Kapoor.
