Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who was recently seen in Veere Di Wedding, is all set to reunite with her 'Ra.One' co-star Shah Rukh Khan after a period of seven years. The two actors, who also worked together in ‘Ashoka’, will pair up for the film ‘Salute’, as per the latest buzz. While promoting her film VDW, Bebo was tipped light about her next project and had said that she would announce about the same at the right time. It seems fans won’t have to wait much as Kareena is expected to sign the dotted lines for the film this week itself, a report in an entertainment portal suggested.

Talking about ‘Salute’, the film is an upcoming biopic based on the life of Rakesh Sharma, who is the only Indian astronaut to travel in space. Kareena Kapoor has been finalised to play the role of Rakesh Sharma’s wife Madhu in the film, the report said.

"In a film, various issues including remuneration and dates need to be worked out first before an announcement is made. And Kareena and Shah Rukh coming together after Ra.One is very big news. But now everything has been sorted, the deal has been finalised and Kareena is doing Salute where she plays Madhu who is an interior designer by profession and astronaut Rakesh Sharma’s  wife. Kareena loved the story and is excited to be working with Shah Rukh again,’’ an insider told Bollywood Hungama.

Interestingly, Shah Rukh Khan and Kareena played husband and wife in Anubhav Sinha’s ‘Ra.One’. They would be playing an reel-life jodi once again in Salute which is being  helmed by Mahesh Mathai.

As of now, King Khan is busy shooting for Aanand L Rai’s ‘Zero’. The film co-starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma will hit the silver screens on December 21. The ‘Chennai Express’ actor shared the first look of Katrina from ‘Zero’ on Twitter and Instagram a few days ago.

Kareena, who had a dreamy vacation with husband Saif Ali Khan and son Taimur in London, will also be part of Karan Johar’s yet to be announced film.
